Training Academy

At Kidzrus we firmly believe that our staff are our most valuable asset. By employing people in both permanent and Apprenticeship roles, we ensure that we have a strong commitment to support them they acquire the skills and knowledge as well as the experience so that they develop and their improve their daily performance.

We only employ people who share our vision and ethos and maintain that by providing opportunities to build an extremely rewarding career in early years education and we encourage them to move forward in all aspects of their careers.

We look out for that special person who is positive and passionate and wants to work with children. Experience isn’t always necessary but we do expect someone to be focused on continual development and self-improvement. At Kidzrus we will only employ staff who want to grow and develop in their childcare career.   Our nurseries have a great team and through regular and ongoing training we can constantly review and improve our practice.

Education, training and the continual professional development of staff is of paramount importance at Kidzrus.  Our in house Training Academy has been formed due to a number of factors – a growth in the number of settings, an increase in personnel, the need to recruit new staff plus the introduction of the Apprenticeship Levy for starters.  We have extended our internal approach to staff development and are able to support colleagues undertaking  accredited programmes and these include Apprenticeships in Early Years, sector-specific courses and Higher Education courses.

Our Quality Manager (Teaching, Learning and Staff Development) and setting managers have extensive and current experience in Early Years. We have dedicated training rooms at our Monton nursery where theoretical teaching can take place. We are also able to deliver sessions at each individual setting as well as remote learning opportunities by Zoom.

We believe in review and reflection to improve practice and we put teaching and learning and continued professional development at the forefront of our Quality Improvement Plan.
