On Tuesday 13 April Anna Rollinson, Deputy Manager at Swinton and Laura Shaw, Pre-School Practitioner at Swinton as Kidzrus Mental Health First Aiders met with Darren Matthews, Quality Manager to review the support we provide for our colleagues.
It is important that our colleagues don’t suffer in silence and, now more than ever, that we are taking the time to look after ourselves and our mental health. We are emerging from a third lockdown to a ‘new normal’ and whilst some are excited, others view it with trepidation and are filled with worry and concern. So, following some periods of isolation and furlough, we want to reassure our colleagues that we here to provide discrete support.
We are able to help our colleagues take positive steps to improve their mental health and provide guidance on keeping active, stopping smoking, healthy eating, improving sleep, reducing alcohol intake, returning to work after lockdown and accessing NHS support available.
We have come up with loads of really good ideas and strategies that will help our colleagues and also celebrate the amazing work that they do with our children day in day out. So, keep an eye out for our new Kidzrus Staff Wellbeing support system.
