We are delighted to inform you that we had a visit from Councillor Charlie McIntyre, Ceremonial Mayor of Salford today at our Media City Nursery. The Mayor had a tour of our setting and the children sang one of their favourite songs, “You are my Sunshine”. The children really enjoyed the visit and asked lots of lovely questions, they were particularly interested in his beautiful chain. We spoke about the amazing diversity that we have in our nurseries including the children, parents and staff teams and the wonderful support we offer to parents and families. We also talked about the staff importance of staff well-being and empowering our staff and children that they can do or be anything they want to. At Kidzrus we offer opportunities and choices to all children, although safeguarding is at the forefront of everything we do. The occasion also marked the start of our “Community Week”.
The Lord Mayor presented our Nursery Director, Nicola Fleury with our most recent award, The prestigious National Day Nurseries Association Outstanding Contribution Award which was held last month in Warwickshire, a celebration of the Early Years sectors achievements.
