Kidzrus ethos is “Every Child – Every Chance!” and is passionate about giving each and every child the opportunity to flourish, reach their unique potential and learn through play whilst becoming well- rounded and responsible members of our local and wider community. We foster strong links within those communities and our children make regular visits to residential care homes for the elderly, participate in activities and fund raising events.

Our children have a strong interest in maintaining a green and clean environment and work within the nursery to learn about sustainability and participate in community clean ups and recycling campaigns. Each nursery has it’s own Eco Champion.

In March 2018 we set up the Kidzrus Salford Family Food Bank; working closely with our local community to reduce hunger and food poverty by offering food parcels to families when needed. We work alongside business organisations such as Morrisons and Costa Coffee who share our vision of a healthy and hunger free community.

In April 2022 we introduced the Kidzrus Community Clothes Closet as a discreet way of sharing new and nearly new clothes amongst our families. Parents are invited to donate items to the clothes rails and we are extremely grateful for their donations. They may also take items from the racks that meet their needs and this has proven to be an extremely popular way of both supporting those in need and also in refreshing their children’s wardrobes.

We have extended our vital work within our local and wider community with an ongoing pledge that we will offer whatever support we can to those in need when they need it most. Salford is currently rehoming a number of refugees from Ukraine and we are pleased to offer bespoke support packages to those with children from birth to five years of age that live within close proximity to our Media City setting.
